TechLexicon LLC ("TechLexicon," "we,"
"us," or "our") is committed to protecting children and young people who use our services. This page
describes our standards for preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual
abuse material (CSAM) across the TechLexicon mobile application and website, and how anyone can
report a concern to us. These standards apply to TechLexicon, published on Google Play and the Apple
App Store by TechLexicon LLC.
Zero tolerance. TechLexicon has a
zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation. Any content or conduct that
sexualizes, endangers, or exploits a minor is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate
removal, account termination, and reporting to the appropriate authorities.
1. Our Commitment
TechLexicon is a technical-vocabulary
learning app intended for users aged 13 and older. We comply with applicable child safety laws and
regulations in the jurisdictions where we operate, including the United States. We maintain
standards, systems, and a point of contact dedicated to keeping CSAE and CSAM off our platform, and
we review and update these standards as our features and the relevant laws evolve.
2. Prohibited Content and Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited
anywhere on TechLexicon, including in Study Group chats and any other user-generated content:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualizes a
minor, in any form.
- Grooming, solicitation, sextortion, or any attempt to engage a minor
in sexual activity or to obtain sexual content from a minor.
- Enticing, encouraging, or facilitating contact with a minor for
exploitative purposes.
- Sharing, requesting, or linking to CSAM, or directing users to such
material off-platform.
- Any other content or behavior that endangers the safety or well-being
of a child.
3. How We Protect Younger Users
- Age requirement. TechLexicon is intended for users
aged 13 and older. The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow them
to register.
- Community Guidelines. All users must accept our
community guidelines, which set a zero-tolerance standard for abusive, exploitative, or harmful
content, before they can participate in Study Group chats.
- Content filtering. Chat messages pass through an
automated profanity and abuse filter before they are posted.
- Blocking and reporting. Every user can block another
user and report any message directly from within the app. Blocked users' messages are hidden from
the person who blocked them.
- No anonymous or random pairing. Users have persistent
usernames, and chat takes place inside groups that people join deliberately. TechLexicon does not
offer anonymous chat or random stranger matchmaking.
4. How to Report a Concern
If you encounter content or behavior that
may harm a child, please report it right away. You can:
- Report in the app. Press and hold any chat message
and choose Report or Block. Reports are sent to our team for review.
- Email us. Contact support@techlexicon.app with
details of the content or account involved.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your
local law enforcement first. In the United States, you can also report suspected child exploitation
to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or
1-800-843-5678.
5. How We Respond
When we become aware of CSAE or CSAM on
TechLexicon, we act promptly and in accordance with these standards and applicable law. Our response
includes:
- Removing the offending content as soon as it is identified.
- Suspending or permanently terminating the accounts involved.
- Preserving relevant information as required by law.
- Reporting confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing &
Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the relevant authority in the applicable jurisdiction.
6. Point of Contact
We maintain a designated point of contact
to respond to questions about our child safety practices and to receive notifications, including
from app stores, about potential CSAE on our platform. That contact is reachable at support@techlexicon.app.
7. Related Policies
These standards work alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We may
update this page from time to time; the current version is always available at this address.
